Street Department
The City of Sterling has 10.5 miles of asphalt paved roads and 7.4 miles of dirt roads.
Water Department
There are 17.5 miles of water lines in various sizes throughout the city and 943 water services in the city. The water comes from 2 new wells and is pumped throughout the system and into a 250,000 gallon water tower. In 2012, the city pumped 87,722,000 gallons of water.
Sewer Department
The city's sewer is made up of 19 miles of sewer lines, 211 sewer cleanouts, and a 21 acre sewer treatment lagoon. In 2012, the city treated 79,574,000 gallons of sewage at the city's sewer treatment plant.
