Update: Online Payment System
A temporary fix has been made to the City's online payment system PSN that allows utility customers to pay their monthly bills online. The links below will direct customers to pages where they can pay their bill and register an account online:
To make a payment, customers must manually enter their billing information, which can be found on their monthly bill received by mail, including:
- Name as it appears on your bill/invoice
- Account holder name
- Account number
- Payment amount
The Online Payments graphic link on the City website homepage has been updated to link to the new payment page. Although it is less functional, this solution offers customers the convenience of paying their utility bills online while the City seeks a more permanent fix to the online payment system. Please check the City website, the City's official Facebook page, and the Sterling Bulletin newspaper for future updates. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your flexibility.

Online Payment System Down
The City's online payment system PSN is down for an extended period of time due to a hardware failure. During this time, utility customers will not be able to pay their monthly bill online. City staff are working with the vendor and our IT partners to restore online payment functionality. Unfortunately, it is not known at this time how long restoring this option will take.
In the meantime, payments may be made at Sterling City Hall, located at 114 N. Broadway Ave. by:
- Cash
- Check
- Money Order
- After-hours drop slot (to the right of the front door)
- Credit/Debit Card (in-person or over the phone at 620.278.3423)
Also, customers may sign up for ACH bank draft, which is processed automatically on the 10th of every month. Please call Sterling City Hall at 620.278.3423 to sign up.
We apologize for the inconvenience and will provide updates as the situation develops. Please check the City website, the City's official Facebook page, and the Sterling Bulletin newspaper for future updates.
